Fabulous Friday...

Girls night out was fun! Lori, Deb and I all met at Que Pasa and ate Mexican Food before the movie. The movie was really good... tears and all. (yes, I did hear Lori and Deb sniffling) We missed having Kim with us... especially since she picked the movie! maybe next time.

Today is Halloween. We are planning a Harvest Festival at church tonight. Hopefully we won't be rained out.

Girls Night Out!!

Tonight is Girls Night Out! A group of us are meeting at the Market Place to have dinner and then see a movie... The Secret Life of Bees. We were all hoping for the Richard Gere movie... but it is nowhere to be found! I guess that will be a Girls Night In movie... with popcorn, chocolate and PJs. =)

Today is my day off. I am cleaning house, doing loads and loads of laundry and just enjoying being home. Bobby is out helping his brother do something and the boys are all at school... awwww... peace.

Cluttered thoughts...

I am so ready to declutter my house! Goodwill here I come! This Saturday I am hoping to get a huge load of things out of my garage. I feel so overwhelmed every time I look at everything. It is frustrating! Why do I hold on to so much "stuff". I know January is when you are supposed to make resolutions, but I am making one now. I need to get tough with myself and downsize.

Monday, Monday...

I started a new book today... it is called Time Lottery. It is about 3 people that are chosen to travel back in time for one week to change one thing about their life. At the end of the week, they'll get a chance to come back to their old lives or to continue on in their new one. Can you imagine changing something from your past? I've been thinking about it and really... I have no idea what year I'd want to go back to. There are many things I'd like to change... but really, the hardships and struggles I have gone through have made me appreciate how blessed I am now. I can't wait to see what happens... I'll let you know if I think it is a must read. =) (I hope so, because I already bought book 2!)

Liberty High had their spirit week last week and Kevin Lee dressed up every day. Here is the one that cracked me up! He is soooooo funny. The pants he has on are black and furry on the front. We found them at Goodwill. His mullet wig is the part that makes me laugh.

He wore Pjs, an old man outfit, a GI JOe outfit and Red/White/Blue on the other days. Too bad you don't get graded for this stuff... he'd have straight A's!

Doing the happy dance...

I am soooooo happy this morning! Jesus healed my curling iron! No, seriously, He did! On the cruise, I plugged it in to a plug in the bathroom that said "shavers only"... I didn't realize it said that until after I her heard the buzz of electricity going through the cord. I quickly unplugged it, but it was too late... it was fried. I tried plugging it in to the other outlet and it didn't work. I tried plugging it in again when I got home and still - no red light. So I put it in the drawer and figured it was history. I was so sad... not only is it a great curling iron, but it was my sister's. Plus it would cost me at least $80 to replace it. This morning, I really wanted to use it so I decided to pray for it. I did... and you know what! As soon as I plugged it in, it heated up faster than ever!! Jesus cares about the small things. My family laughed at me... but I totally believe! Pastor is teaching on God's Economy right now and how He pours out blessings from Heaven on us. He knows that I couldn't go out and get a new curling iron... I have too many bills to pay. God is so good... all the time!

Oh Happy Day!

Good morning!! I have the day off! I am sitting here in my PJ's, drinking a cup of coffee and just thinking about how blessed I am. I have no major plans for the day other than doing the mountain of laundry that is stacked in the laundry room and possibly picking my mom up to come and spend a couple of nights with me. I haven't seen here is a long time... like July maybe? I know... that is terrible!

I am still eating clean and I have lost 25.5 pounds so far!! I am so happy. I have about 10 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight. I have struggled with weight since Ryan was born... and this has been the best thing I've ever done to get weight off and keep it off. No pills or shots... just eating 5-6 times a day, drinking lots of water, and some exercise (treadmill/softball). Love it!!

Last night was week 2 of Pastor Marks series on "Investing in God's Economy". It is all about First Fruits and how we need to trust in the Lord to provide for us and not wall street/this world. He is such a good teacher and gives you a lot of great things to think about. I am ready to get serious about paying off some bills and saving money. That is hard with Christmas right around the corner... but I will make a goal and try to accomplish it. Baby steps.
Well, I am off to fight that mountain of dirty clothes. Will I win? Yes!!
Have a blessed day!

It's Wednesday!!

Last night I played softball with our Dobbs Realty Team. We won! It was so much fun. I actually hit the ball like I used to! It felt so good (Thanks Orland!). Kevin Lee had an awesome game. He made a great diving catch! I love playing with him. We have a lot of fun together. I can't wait for Matthew to be old enough to play too. Well, that's all for now. =)

Home from the cruise...

The cruise was amazing! We all had such a good time. I love getting to relax and hang out with all of the ladies. They are so much fun. Here is a group shot of us before we left the church... minus Deb.

Here is a picture of me and Kim in Ensenada. The weather was perfect!

One of the highlights of my trip was parasailing... this is me!!!

Kim, Linda, Deb and I all went up for about 10 minutes each. It was beautiful. I can't wait to go again next year! (Yes... there is already a cruise being planned for next year) Why procrastinate? =) I am so happy that I only gained 2 pounds too! The desserts were really good. We even got the recipe for the molten chocolate cake... yumm!

Sole Sisters & Cruisin'...

This morning I got up bright and early and went to the park to walk. Kim met me there (yes, she is my only sole sister at this time)... but hey, the group doubled in size from last week. =) Anyway... we walked for about 30 minutes and had a nice talk about the cruise and the upcoming Missions Walk-a-Thon that our church is hosting. It is going to be in November. I also got to hear all about her trip to Tennessee. The weather was nice and crisp and perfect for a walk.

The cruise is only 2 days away... I am SO ready for this trip. I'd get in to more detail about why... but that is not what this blog is all about. I plan to have a FABULOUS time and relax. There is a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room waiting for me! Not to mention a lot of great food, my friends, parasailing, a massage and many more FUN, FUN things. Is it Monday yet?
Today I am cleaning house and doing laundry... somebody has to do it. I have 2 games tonight with the church league. I am really looking forward to playing out there again and seeing a lot of familiar faces.
I will take lots of pics next week.

My Vision Board & Holiday Planner

I love to scrapbook (when I make time) and do other crafty projects. Here are a couple of things I've made... First my Holiday Planner. I will be able to keep track of all of my shopping needs, dinner plans, outings and Things to Do with this cute little book. I have kept a notbook every year at Christmas. This year, I decided to make it unique.

And this is my vision board! I made this months ago and keep it where I can see it every day. It has goals and things I desire for my life on it. By seeing it consistently, it makes me keep my goals in sight and actually, I have accomplished (or started to) a lot of them! It is fun to make and you can add to it any time or make a new one. Positive thinking and goal setting is always a good thing. =)

What if...

If you could have a week to yourself, an entire week with no one but yourself, what would you do? You wouldn't be allowed to feel guilty about leaving your family because in this scenario they are having the time of their lives without you and money would be no object and calories would not count. I know, perfection.

This is what I would do:

I'd go here...

I'd sit here...

And probably here too...

I'd bring lots of theses...

And eat lots of this...

Mmmmmm, and this...

=) And this too...I would ride one of these...

I would definitely do lots of this...

Ahhhh, to have a week like that.

Thankful Tuesday...

We started a new thing on Sunday nights at church... Facing Your Giants. Pastor did the "kickoff" this past Sunday. Everyone came dressed in their favorite team jerseys. It was so much fun. I can't wait for next week. I really hope more people come out because they are missing a good thing.

I leave in less than a week to go on a cruise with lots of my favorite friends. I am so excited about going. I plan on parasailing for the first time! I also plan to get a massage (ot two) and to eat lots of yummy desserts. (sitting in sauna and walking on treadmill a must!)

Things I am thankful for today:

1. This great weather
2. Playing softball
3. Going on a cruise
4. Weight loss
5. Good books
6. Comfortable shoes

Until next time...

We won!

Last night our Dobbs Realty Team played a great game! We won by one run in an extra inning. It felt really good to win... finally! We have a good team, but we seem to playing a lot of better teams. As long as it is fun... it's worth going out there. The exercise is great, especially when you make it on base! (which only happened for me once last night). I am going to start playing on another co-ed team soon. We'll play on Saturday nights. I love being out there with my friends and Kevin Lee. Kev has his driver's permit now, so he thinks he is suppose to drive every time we get in the car. Last night was the first time I didn't feel fear when I got in the car. =) I'm getting better. It is hard giving up control of the wheel to your 16 year old.
